Praher

The headquarters of Praher Plastics Austria GmbH is situated in the peaceful and contemplative village of Schwertberg, in the Mühlviertel, in the plain between the Danube river and the beginning rolling hills of the Mühlviertel. This is exactly where Ludwig Praher founded the company in 1971 as one-man operation producing technical plastics and plastic injection moulds for the production of the parts.

Today, the company produces high-quality valves and fittings for industrial piping systems and the pool industry and realizes customized functional parts and assemblies on fully automated injection moulding machines. The in-house research and development department cooperates closely with universities and research institutes. New ideas are first implemented in the heart of the company: the mould making department and increasingly with three-dimensional printing techniques. Our centralized procurement system ensures continuous supply with high-quality raw materials. Fully-automated robot systems, developed in-company, explore new avenues in the production of quality plastic valves. The company is now managed in second generation by Winfried Praher together with Rainer Pühringer.

Valves, fittings and pipes delivered by Praher Plastics Austria GmbH are developed and produced according to international and national standards. Our products have to be exclusively used in the appropriate applications fields. In this regards, the technical data sheet (pressureloss-diagram) as well as the operation manual (correct installation, dismounting) and technical regulations published by the plastics industry as well as chemical resistance lists must be complied with. Modifications on the product realized on a stand-alone basis are the responsibility and the risk of the plant manufacturer. Information regarding certificates and eligibility for certifications can be found in the manufacturer’s declaration. Declarations of conformity for the corresponding valves are available according to the pressure equipment
directive.
